Return & Exchange fees

Here's what a return or exchange costs, by situation.

All fees are charged in your order's currency. If you ordered in Canadian dollars, the CAD amount applies.

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery. See What is your Return Policy? for what qualifies.

What you'll pay for a refund

A refund has two fees: a 10% restocking fee and the return label fee.

The 10% restocking fee is calculated on what you actually paid for the item after any discount, not including tax. For example: an item listed at $200 bought with a $40 discount means you paid $160, so the restocking fee is $16.

Your original shipping charge is not refunded.

What you'll pay for an exchange

On an exchange the 10% restocking fee is waived. You pay:

  • The return label fee, in the table below

  • Any price difference, if the new item costs more

  • New shipping on the replacement order, if that order falls below our free shipping threshold: see Shipping options, rates & delivery times for current thresholds

If your original order had paid shipping, that original charge isn't refunded and isn't applied to the exchange.

What you'll pay for store credit

Store credit is treated like an exchange: the 10% restocking fee is waived. The return label fee still applies. Unlike an exchange there's no price difference or new shipping to pay, because you're not choosing a replacement item now.

Return label fees

The table below shows the return label fee for each combination of item type, shipping on your original order, and order currency.

Return label

US order (USD)

Canadian order (CAD)

Product or Carrier: your order shipped free

$22

$31

Product or Carrier: you paid for shipping

$10.99

$15.50

Outerwear: your order shipped free

$35

$35

Outerwear: you paid for shipping

$17.50

$17.50

Product or Carrier means any non-outerwear item.

Outerwear means babywearing coats and jackets only. Covers, cardigans and hoodies use the Product or Carrier fee.

If your order shipped free, the return label fee also covers the outbound shipping we originally paid. If you paid for shipping on your order, the fee covers the return label only.

If you use your own return label

If you buy your own return label, we don't charge you a return label fee.

For a refund, the 10% restocking fee still applies. And if your original order shipped free, we deduct the outbound shipping we paid: $10.99 for products and carriers, $17.50 for outerwear. That's deducted once per order, not once per item.

If your original order had paid shipping, nothing further is deducted: but the original shipping charge isn't refunded.

Before you mail anything, send us a clear photo showing the item is new, unused, unwashed, not tried on, and has its original packaging, tags and inserts.

When you pay nothing

If we or our warehouse made the mistake, no fees apply at all: no return label fee, no restocking fee, no shipping recovery. That covers a wrong item, a missing item, a duplicate shipment, and an order that shipped after it was confirmed cancelled by our team.

Final sale: no refunds or exchanges

These are final sale: pre-orders, special orders, clearance and marked-down items, bundles, gift cards.

An item bought at full price using a discount code is not a final sale item. It isn't eligible for a refund, but you can exchange it.

Cancelling an order

Cancelling before your order ships isn't a return, and a different fee applies. See Can I Cancel, Add to, Modify or Change My Order?
